Workflow applications that solve business processes, where people participate to achieve a common goal.

It is one that involves administration processes in a company such as purchase orders, sales reports, etc. These workflow are used when there is a large amount of administrative processes within the company and it is necessary to distribute solutions to different users.

Frequently it is called transaction workflow. This is because the transaction in a database is considered the key to any process. This type of workflow is the largest segment in the market.

These are logical rules that determine the navigation of the document within the system. They express what action will be taken depending on the value of logical expressions.

Defines the sequence of steps to be followed by the documents (or information) within a workflow system.

It is an interruption that contains information, it has an origin and one or more recipients. The information contained in the message that was produced by the event may be implicit or given by the user.

The competences and capacities of the people that the system has are defined.
