Explanation
Rosso di Valtellina: Lombardia DOC, entry level wine of Valtellina, 90% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) 6m aging requirement.
Valtellina Superiore: Lombardia DOCG, five sub zones, 90% min Chiavennasca, 2y aging, 1y in wood. Reserve 3y of aging. More approachable and more perfumed in its youth, leaner structure (compared to Barolo/Barbaressco)

Highest achievement for Valtellina, dried grapes (until Dec 10 after harvest), ma 14%, 20m aging, 12m in wood. Only 11% of all wines are Sforzato.

Franciacorta Millesimato: Lombardia DOC sparkling style, 85% must be from vintage, 30m on lees, Pas Dosé to Extra Dry.
Franciacorta Riserva: Lombardia DOC sparkling style, only made in exceptional years, 60m on lees, Past Dosé to Extra Dry.
Franciacorta Satèn: Lombardia DOC sparkling style, BdB (Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco can’t be more than 50%), 24m on less, bottled as brut, *max 5 atm of pressure, resulting in softer creamier mouth feel.
**NOTE: Curtefranca DOC is the same area as Franciacorta, but Rosso/Bianco. Chardonnay dominate for Bianco, Rosso is BDX blend required.

Buttafuoco: Lombardia DOC, within Oltrepo Pavese, Mainly Croatina/Barbera (25-65%), with some Uva Rara and Ughetta. Quality reds with complex structure.
