HIS 150: Pre-Modern World is a global survey of human history from prehistoric times to about 1500 CE. It covers the rise of agriculture, the development of early states and empires, the spread of major religions, long-distance trade networks, and early cultural exchanges across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The course also teaches how historians analyze evidence and interpret the past, giving students a foundation for understanding how early civilizations shaped the modern world.
