Dr Jekyll is a kind, well-respected and intelligent scientist who is interested in the darker side of science, because he wants to bring out his 'second' nature. He does this through transforming himself into Mr Hyde — his evil alter ego, who doesn't repent or accept responsibility for his evil crimes and ways. Jekyll has the power. However, Hyde takes over and this results in their deaths. The author of this book is Mary Shelley. It tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a Swiss student of natural science who creates an artificial man from pieces of corpses and brings his creature to life. The monster looks for affection, but instead it inspires hate in everyone who meets it. The monster turn against his creator.
