When the time to receive Communion arrives, approach the altar. The priests and Eucharistic ministers will prepare to give Communion by taking their places. When leaving the pew there is no need to genuflect. Wait in line and do not skip people. When you approach the Eucharistic minister, bow as a sign of reverence to the Eucharist. Receive the Precious Blood. After receiving the Eucharistic host, you will receive the Precious Blood. Approach the Eucharistic minister with the chalice. Bow in reverence before receiving the Precious Blood. Take a small drink from the chalice that is offered to you. The person offering the chalice will say “the Blood of Christ,” and you should respond "Amen." The chalice is wiped off after each member receives the Precious Blood. Receive the Eucharistic host. If you wish to receive the Eucharist on the tongue, open your mouth and extend your tongue so that the host does not fall. The host will be placed on your tongue. If you wish to receive the Eucharist in your hand, make a throne for the Eucharist by holding out your hands, left on top of right.
