A serious firebombing incident happened at a tobacco in Melton , in Melbourne ? s outer west , early on Thursday morning . Police say two men were in an alleged attempt to firebomb The Boss Tobacconist in Alexander Street . The incident happened shortly before 3am . CCTV footage shows a white ute reversing towards the building . Two men then got out of the vehicle . They to be carrying containers of fuel . A few moments later , a large ball of fire covered both men . One of the men , aged 23 , suffered very serious burns to his and lower body . Emergency services arrived quickly , and the injured man was flown to the Alfred . He remains in a critical condition . Police say his injuries may change his life permanently . CCTV shows one man to put out the flames before getting back into the ute . The vehicle then drove away , but the injured man fell from it . Police say the other man left him behind and . The second man was also burnt . Police believe he later received help from a member of the , who drove him to an area near the Avenue of Honour . Detectives are now searching for him . Police say they will hold him if the injured man dies . They are treating the fire as a possible organised crime incident . They also to find the people who may have ordered the firebombing . Police are looking for the driver of a ute that may have travelled with the white ute . Fire Rescue Victoria crews arrived within four minutes and the fire at about 3 : 12am . Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them . They warn that fire is dangerous , unpredictable and can seriously hurt people .
