A maxim is a short statement that expresses a general rule, principle, or piece of advice about life or behavior.

A universal truth is an idea or statement that is generally accepted as true across different people, cultures, places, or periods of time.

In literature, a philosophical idea is often a deep reflection about life or human existence.

Character vs. Character

Clue: struggling with fear, guilt, or an important decision. The character have conflicts of the mind and or emotions.

The author directly tells the readers about the character's traits and personality.
