One of the fundamental problems with teenagers and technology nowadays is the time they spend cooped up in a bedroom at home . They are hooked up to a tablet or laptop for ( entertain ) , or with their heads bent over a small device . Teenagers no longer spend as much time outside in the fresh air as it used to be . That ? s mainly because they meet - up online . It ? s far ( fashionable ) to chat online than meet - up ! Twenty years ago teens ( spend ) much more time outside and enjoying sporting activities rather than swiping through social media . Yes , times have changed ( significant ) , however , that ? s not to say that our kids these days can ? t still enjoy the best of both worlds . What can you do as a parent to counterbalance this ? There is simply no point in ( remove ) technology from your teen because you then enter the danger zone of excluding them from their friends . However , you can lay down some ground rules .

As schools close their doors due to the coronavirus pandemic , and as the United Kingdom goes into lockdown , stars are turning into teachers . Many ( fame ) faces are helping out by launching daily lessons on their social media accounts to help keep children busy and ( involve ) . It ? s also about planting forests , building solar panels and passing laws to the environment . Earth Hour is also a very fun way to raise awareness the environment . It proves that even doing a little thing , like turning the lights off one hour can make a little difference .

Volunteering is an opportunity to change people ? s lives , including your own .
