Slide 1: How to focus on work after a long weekend.

Before we start, I have a quick question

Who here still feels like today is day off?” 😄

2

Slide 2: Why We Lose Focus

There are actually 3 main reasons.

First, our brain is still in ‘relax mode’.

Second, our routine is broken.

And third, we feel overwhelmed when we see too many tasks at once.

3

Slide 3: Strategy 1 - Start Small

The first strategy is: Start small.

Don’t begin your day with the hardest task.

Instead, start with something simple and achievable.

For example:

  • Replying to emails
  • Organizing your task list
  • Completing a quick QA check

4

Slide 4: Strategy 2 - Reset Priorities

The second strategy is to reset your priorities.

After a long break, your task list may feel messy.

So take 5–10 minutes to ask:

  • What is urgent?
  • What is important?
  • What can wait?

5

Slide 5: Strategy 3 - Manage Energy

The third strategy is about energy.

Sometimes we can’t focus not because we’re lazy,

but because our energy is low.

So here are some simple ways to boost your energy:

  • Drink enough water
  • Have light snacks like fruit or nuts
  • Don’t skip meals
  • Avoid heavy or oily food at lunch
  • Take short breaks every 1–2 hours.

6

Slide 6: Food & Focus

Another thing that affects focus is what we eat.

Recommend:

  • Light meals
  • Less sugar
  • More water
  • Coffee or tea if needed
7

Slide 7: Handling Boredom & Reset

When you feel bored or can’t focus,

try these quick reset techniques:

  • Walk for 5 minutes
  • Drink cold water
  • Change your environment
  • Or talk to a teammate briefly
8

Slide 8: Summarize

To summarize:

  • Start small
  • Reset priorities
  • Manage your energy
  • And don’t forget to reset when needed
