Another focused on unhealthy habits and suggested that students should from drinking too many sugary beverages . Maria found the discussion interesting , especially when the group began talking about old local laws . One student that the town should a regulation that limited community gardens in empty public spaces . Another student disagreed and said that changing the law would not be easy , because the city council could not simply an old decision without careful legal review . During the debate , a quiet boy named Daniel stood up . He had been of damaging plants in the school garden the week before , but he explained that he had actually been trying to save them from an insect problem .
