All planets travel around me in space, I sit at the center of this place. 2 I travel in a curved path around something bigger, Distance changes how long I take to figure. Earth takes 365 days to complete me, What is this path called? Can you see? 3 I am a force that keeps things in place, Holding planets steady in space. Without me, objects would drift apart, I’m the invisible pull at the heart. 4 I am the smallest of the inner four, Made of iron and nickel at my core. I have no moon and a very thin air, Closest to the sun—I’m right there. 5 I am known as the red planet bright, Rust-colored surface in plain sight. Two moons travel with me through space, My thin atmosphere fills my place. 6 I am the largest planet of all, Color bands around me tall. I spin faster than Earth each day, Galileo saw my moons far away. 7 I am made of rock and ice, I orbit a planet—once, twice. I am a natural satellite in space, Not the sun, but in its race. 8 I orbit the sun on my side, Methane gives me a blue pride. My rings are dark and hard to see, Twenty-seven moons travel with me. 9 I am a belt-shaped disc in space, Separating planets by my place. Between Mars and Jupiter I stay, Many rocky objects pass my way. 10 I am made of ice, dust, and rock, My orbit is stretched like a clock. When I heat up, I grow a tail bright, Shining across the night.
