Dear SSG President ,

I am writing to formally propose a " Blind Date with a Book " fair to be held in the school library this coming Valentine ? s day . Firstly , the project aims to reignite a passion for reading by removing the bias of judging a book by its cover . ( 1 ) , it allows students to practice creative writing as they describe their favorite stories using specific registers .

( 2 ) , we realize that collecting enough book donations from each grade level may be difficult on short notice . ( 3 ) , we must ensure that all donated materials are appropriate for a school setting . ( 4 ) , we have set up a " Screening Station " where student - librarians will check and wrap each book before the event begins .

We are seeking your help in promoting this event through the official SSLG social media page . ( 5 ) this request is to ensure a wide variety of book " dates " for our fellow students to choose from . I look forward to your favorable response regarding this literary celebration .
