In 1492, Christopher Columbus set sail from Spain on August 3rd. After a long journey across the Atlantic, he and his crew sighted land on October 12th. They landed on an island in the Bahamas, marking the beginning of European exploration in the Americas.

The antique clock, made of polished mahogany, stood majestically on the mantelpiece. Its golden hands moved gracefully over the Roman numerals, and the pendulum swung silently back and forth.

Tommy couldn’t find his homework. He looked everywhere but still couldn’t find it. So, he asked his teacher for another copy and promised to be more careful next time.

In a busy market town, smart Pedro saw a lost gold coin shining under a fruit stand, thinking it could buy new shoes for his tired feet. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He grew up in a log cabin in Kentucky and later moved to Illinois. In 1830, he began his political career and was elected as the 16th President of the United States in 1860. He led the country through the Civil War and issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. Lincoln was assassinated on April 14, 1865.

In a quiet village by the river, young Maria found a shiny pearl inside an old oyster shell, dreaming it could help her poor family. That night, greedy strangers saw its glow and chased her through the dark mangroves with rough shouts. Using her quick wits, she distracted them with a rock and let the fast river carry her to safety. Back home at dawn, she tossed the pearl into the water, learning that family and cleverness are the real treasures.
