It opens a tiny door inside to let light hit a sensitive strip, capturing a picture of what you see. 2 A room with no regular light, only a dim orange or red bulb. It’s where secret pictures are brought out using special liquids and baths. 3 The first magic liquid. It is poured over the hidden picture to make it slowly become visible. 4 A thin, flexible strip coated with special chemicals. It’s rolled up inside a small metal can and records pictures when light touches it. 5 A tall machine in the dim room that shines light through a clear picture strip to project a bigger version onto special paper. 6 Thick, light-sensitive paper that turns into a photograph after it is exposed to light and then dipped in special baths. 7 The clear strip you get after developing. Your picture is on it, but it looks strange—light areas are dark and dark areas are light. 8 A tool with two long arms used like big tweezers. It lets you move wet paper through the chemical baths without using your fingers. 9 The little window on the back that you look through to see what your picture will look like before you click. 10 The round, clear glass on the front. It focuses the light coming in so that your picture will be sharp and not blurry.
