In hospital, pre-meal blood glucose target is 5-8. Outside of the hospital, 4-7 is considered the usual target!

ISF = insulin sensitivity factor. AKA, how much 1 unit of insulin will lower the blood glucose (eg. ISF4 = 1 unit of insulin will drop the blood glucose by 4 points)

Pregnancy changes maternal metabolism in ways that mask hyperglycemia and promote ketosis (this isn't testable, it came from a handout from this weeks content, not on the powerpoint so don't worry)
