Let's the Stranger Things 5 trailer . The I want to do this is I want to it to my theories and show you what I think I got right .
First things first , I had that Vecna took Will to the library and that's why the Demogorgon found him in Castle Byers , he was found by Joyce and Hopper in the library . And now here's the scene of the trailer . We see a Demogorgon as Vecna walks forward . If you look really , this is Vecna's hand here . And if you compare it to his season 5 form , that's his new hand , which means that that earlier scene is a . A flashback to what ? I think it's Vecna meeting Will for the first time when he was 12 years old at the Hawkins library , which would also why he says , " William , you are going to help me . "
I had also already predicted that Vecna was going to take Will in this scene . Why ? There's an episode called " Escape from Camazotz , " which is a to A Wrinkle in Time in which the main girl Meg goes to an alternate dimension to find her brother . And when I saw this picture from the teaser a few months ago , I thought El was looking for Will in the . Now , after watching the trailer , I'm even more of this . Specifically , I think Vecna takes Will's and not his body . Why ? Because Will's body is right here , you can see his legs , but clearly he's .

With that said , I do think that they Will because notice how Eleven is wearing a here , the same wetsuit that she was wearing when she was looking for someone in the void . Which means this must happen soon after that . And if you can't tell , that's Will because his here is brown , and this is a photo of Millie and Noah wearing the same clothes in that scene . All of that to say , I think El Will in a direct parallel to A Wrinkle in Time .
Now , if we look at this shot closely , you can see something from the sky , which is a direct parallel to Henry falling into Dimension X . I think this is a parallel of 12 - year - old Will Byers falling into the Upside Down .
In this scene , we see some white behind Jonathan and Nancy , which makes me think that the Upside Down is and perhaps Vecna wants to open a gate to another dimension because of that .
And lastly , I want to talk about this . Now , this might be a , but this me of Harry Potter , specifically this scene from the Deathly Hallows when they cast a dome over Hogwarts . Now , compare that to Will's painting , where he seems to be creating some sort of blue orb here . In the very opening scene of Stranger Things , Will is deciding between casting fireball and casting . He casts fireball and loses . Could Will's painting be that he has some sort of control over the Upside Down , a protective effect just like in Harry Potter ? And that that's what we're seeing here ?
It might be a stretch , but hey , some of my theories are true , so I'm going to it out there anyways .
