Florence Nightingale’s theory was based on observations made during the Armenian war. She noted more soldier survived their injuries in a clean and healthy environment. Her theories of a clean environment can be applied to our use of hand hygiene to decrease nosocomical infections. The other answers were based on theories that we’re not invented by Florence Nightingale.

The first step in the scientific method is to identify and define a problem that needs to be studied.

Muscle muscles relaxed during the deepest stage of NREM sleep. The parasympathetic nervous system system stimulation causes the heart rate to decrease. Respirations decrease due to the parasympathetic nervous system stimulation blood pressure should decrease not increase. In body temperature would fall during NREM sleep not rise

Sleep- deprived adolescents are more likely to experience, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Sleep deprivation can increase the risk four strokes, not decreased the risk. When a person gets adequate amount of sleep, their immune system strengthens.

Physiological needs are met when the nurse assures that the patient has adequate nutrition.

The patient should think about how they tolerate the night shift and schedule accordingly. Do not just listen and nod. Actively engaging in conversation helps to stay awake. Rather than sitting still, doing something that requires physical action periodically can help you stay awake. Taking frequent breaks every 1 to 2 hours during the night shift will prevent exhaustion.

guided imagery can be used to help the patient move their mind to a safe place, we relaxation as possible. Music therapy has been shown to be effective in promoting relaxation. Some patients respond well and can put away their troubles while listening to music, whereas others may find music irritating, progressive muscle relaxation occurs when relaxing each muscle independently and progressing from head to toe. This may promote sleep.

The NREM stage is typically the restful phase of sleep where physiological function slows. NREM sleep is also called deep or slow wave sleep.

A meal high and saturated fat near bedtime may interfere with sleep. Tea often contains caffeine, which promotes wakefulness in addition fluid at bedtime. I increased the need to avoid at night. Alcohol before bedtime reduces REM and Delta sleep. Physical activity increases both REM and NREM sleep.

Switching to working at night and sleeping during the day has altered the circadian rhythm. Sleep quality is best when you sleep and wake up and synchrony with your circadian rhythm.

My tears usually occur in children when they wake up and thrash about and hallucinate.

The nurse would be expected to identify problems in nursing practice that others can research.

A newborn infinity is 15 to 18 hours of sleep each day. Children in middle and late childhood need 9 to 12 hours of sleep each day. Adolescence need 8 to 10 hours each day. The young adults need 7 to 8 hours of sleep each day.

Toddlers who have difficulty winding down before bed benefit from sedentary activity such as reading a book the last hour before bed this will help relax a child and promote sleep. Melatonin is a natural product that helps with sleep however it is not proven safe for toddler use. The child should not be punished for not listening to the rules for bedtime. A small snack would be most appropriate before bed because a large snack would make it more difficult to fall asleep.
