Nouns

Nouns name people, places, things, or ideas. They can be concrete or abstract, singular or plural, and often function as subjects or objects in sentences.

Pronouns replace nouns to avoid repetition. Examples: I, you, he, she, it, we, they. Pronouns show person, number, and gender with accuracy.

Verbs express actions, processes, or states of being. They change form for tense, aspect, mood, voice, number, and person, matching subjects in sentences.

Adjectives describe nouns by giving qualities such as size, color, or shape. They appear before the noun or after certain verbs to add detail.
