Acrylic is a synthetic fabric made by humans in the factories. It does not have moisture absorbing capacity or breathability and therefore is very irritating to be worn in summers.

We prefer cotton in summers because it absorbs the sweat from the body, holds it within the fibers and with the use of body's heat, the sweat is evaporated from the body and makes it feel cool.

Acrylic fibers trap heat well and are also lighter than wool.

In Athletic wear, we need something strong and durable (lyocell) which also dries the sweat very quickly (nylon).

Nylon and Polyester naturally repel water and do not absorb it. Therefore, they are easy to maintain and can be washed easily.

Elastane is a fiber that is added along with other base fibers to make the complete garment stretchable.

Modal is mostly known for softness and comfort and hence is used in underwear and nightwear.
