Maria worked in a large marketing company where gossip was . Every morning , during her , she would scroll through social media , already thinking about the latest rumors she had heard at the office . She was to exaggerating , and she treated every bit of gossip as valuable information - gathering .

One day , Maria was about to start her tasks when she overheard a of colleagues whispering about a manager ? s possible promotion . She couldn ? t get her around why nobody had told her first . Instead of focusing on her job , she began to from desk to desk , spreading what she knew and adding her own details .

At first , her colleagues laughed and seemed entertained . A of attention made her feel important . But soon , things went wrong . A manager discovered that Maria ? s stories were starting to trust in the team . Some colleagues who had once her for being funny and social began to avoid her , realizing the of sharing anything personal with her .

Instead of reflecting , Maria decided to down on her behavior , believing she was simply keeping things lively . But her gossip caused conflicts , damaged a personal between two coworkers , and pushed stress levels through the . Finally , leadership decided to gossiping in the workplace and warned Maria directly .
