  • ‎Hi, Good to see you.

Information when you are introducing yourself.

  • Name: The name by which one is addressed.
  • ‎Age: The number of years a person has lived. (It's not polite to ask that)
  • ‎Nationality: The country a person belongs to.
  • ‎Occupation: The job or profession someone does.

Meeting someone for first time (not a funcionary or a minister)


‎Me: Hello, My name is Adrián, AKA, "mi estimado." What's your name?

‎Mayra: I'm Mayra. Nice to meet you, Adrián.

‎Me: You too. So, tell me Mayra where are you from?

‎Mayra: I'm from United States but I'm living in Guayaquil. What about you?

‎Me: I'm from Netherlands but I'm trapped here in Guayaquil, as well.

‎What do you do for a living?

‎Mayra: I'm working at a Cafeteria. I'm a server or (a food service worker) in a place called Galleti's. And you?

‎Me: Well, I'm a Janitor and I'm working in the American Consulate.

‎Mayra: That's cool.

‎Me: I'm sure one day you are going to work here. Well, see you tomorrow.

‎Mayra: See you.
