Text: A Weekend in the Mountains
Last weekend, Emma and her two best friends, Lily and Max, decided to go on a short trip to the mountains. They left early on Saturday morning and drove for three hours. The weather was cold and windy, but the view from the cabin was more impressive than any place they had visited before. The cabin was small but comfortable.

After arriving, they unpacked and went for a hike. The path was more tiring than they thought, but the scenery was worth it. They took lots of photos and saw a deer near a river, which was an unexpected surprise. At night, they made hot chocolate and told stories by the fireplace.

On Sunday, they woke up later and cooked pancakes with fruit. Emma said they were the tastiest pancakes she had eaten in a long time. Later, they compared this trip to their last holiday at the beach. They agreed the mountains were quieter and more relaxing, while the beach was hotter and more crowded.

They returned home feeling tired but happy. Emma said she wanted to go back in the spring, when the weather is warmer and the flowers are in bloom.
