One day , her mother asked her to take a basket of food to her grandmother , who was sick and lived on the other side of the forest . Before leaving , her mother warned her not to talk to strangers and not to stray from the path . However , in the forest , Little Red Riding Hood met a cunning wolf . The wolf , with malicious intent , asked her where she was going . Little Red Riding Hood , innocent , told him about her grandmother . The wolf then decided to get to her grandmother's house first . When he arrived , he tricked grandmother and locked her in the closet . Then , he disguised himself as her grandmother and got into bed . When Little Red Riding arrived , she was surprised to see her 'grandmother' so different . In the end , a hunter passing by heard the screams and rescued Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother , taking the wolf away .
