? Nature Story Fill - In ( Answer Version with Bolded Words )
Last weekend , I went hiking alone in a big . At first , everything was quiet and beautiful . I listened to the sounds of all around me ? birds singing , leaves rustling , and the wind blowing through the trees . The air smelled fresh , and the sunlight came through the leaves like little sparkles .

But after an hour of walking , I realized I had lost the trail . I couldn ? t see any signs , and the trees all looked the same . I started to a little . I looked around , but the path was gone .

The deeper I went , the darker it got . The trees blocked out most of the sunlight , and the forest became . It felt quiet ? almost too quiet . I carefully stepped over roots and ducked under a big that was in my way . Everything felt a bit scary .

Then I remembered something my grandpa once told me : " If you ever get lost , look for . It usually grows on the north side of trees . " I checked a few tree trunks and finally saw some soft , green . That helped me figure out which way to go . I followed that direction and , after a while , I found the trail again . I was so happy and promised myself I ? d never hike alone without a map again !
