earlier censorship in place the Hays Code . The goal of this
system to encourage parents to a role in deciding what their
children should and should not .
Today ? s Classification and Ratings Administration ( CARA ) gives
cautionary warnings to about the material in movies . These
ratings into consideration various factors such as violence ,
sexual content , substance abuse , and profane language . The ratings
have much criticism over the years , that there
is too emphasis on sexual content and language and not enough
on violence . In other words , there extremely violent movies that
children to see according to the rating that can
very negative effects on them .
