The Boston St. Patrick's Day Parade

Is there a more Irish city in the United States than Boston? St. Patricks Day week is a fine time to take in the festivities and tour a bit of the city. Below are a few of the many events taking place in the Boston area to celebrate.

Colorful floats, music and Irish good cheer await you at the annual Boston St. Patrick's Day parade. Celebrate Irish heritage in Boston's most Irish neighborhood.

Where to Watch
The parade begins at the Broadway 'T' Station and ends at Andrew Square, South Boston. Your best bet for viewing the parade is to stake out a spot anywhere along Broadway. Marchers continue to Telegraph St to Dorchester Stt ending at Andrew Square.

St. Patrick's Day Parade
Parade starts at 1:00 pm. and will feature marching bands and pipe bands from throughout North America. The parade travels through South Boston - Boston's most Irish neighborhood.

Since 1901 this parade has become a prominent part of South Boston's history. Southie's annual wearin' of the green steps off from the Broadway T Stop proceeding down West Broadway to East Broadway to East 4th, to 5th Street, and around Thomas Park. Marchers continue to Telegraph Street to Dorchester Street ending at Andrew Square.
