The dream undergoes changes every night , and as time goes by , the people in the dream grow older and stranger . Even after Mrs . Stone dies , she still instructs him to go to the room in the tower . One day , in real life , his friend Clinton invites him to his family's house in the country , everything is the same as in his nightmare , except for the names and personalities of the family . However , unlike the dream , the visit is enjoyable . During a thunderstorm , his friend's mom offers him a room in the tower the young man feels very scared , but he tries not to be afraid . While they prepare the room , they find an old picture of Mrs . Stone from the dream , they take off the wall . Strangely , their hands are covered in blood , but they aren't hurt . Feeling uneasy , they go to bed . Suddenly , the young man wakes up because of a loud noise . Mrs . Stone is next to his bed , telling him she is a vampire wants to turn him into one too . She attacks him , but he defends himself by waving his arms . His friend comes in because of the noise , but Mrs . Stone disappeared . Even though the friend says it was just a bad dream , they see the picture is back on the wall , and there is a moldy burial covered on the floor . The men quickly leave the room .
