This significant event in late August or early September . It celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha , a beloved Hindu god with an elephant head . Lord Ganesha is supposed to be a symbol of wisdom , and good fortune because Ganesh removes obstacles . The holds both religious and festive elements .

During Ganesh Chaturthi , residents , recite Vedic hymns , and decorate their himes with elaborately adorned idols of Lord Ganesha . Additionally , the streets come alive with parades and enthusiastic dancing to music . Over the years , Ganesh has gained popularity .
