Recently we had settled down together and bought a house and I wanted the party to be perfect . First the liquor store had sold out of her favorite wine so I had to order some from a store farther away . Then I screwed up because I ? d forgotten that the deli in my neighborhood had just and I had to drive across town to get sandwiches , wasting almost an hour . But I got home just as the first of her friends were arriving . Luckily everyone got there on time and as she pulled up I told everyone to settle down and hide . When she walked in she was really surprised and had a big smile on her face , so it was all worth it . She the new necklace I ? d given her to all her friends and everybody had a great night . She got a little upset that I had forgotten to invite her sister but I smoothed it over by telling her I would call and apologize . Also our friend Jeff got drunk and started talking about how he was set up at work in a fraud scheme , and that he was innocent ( even though I think he really did do it ) . At the end my wife was a little drunk and telling me how much she loved me over and over again , until I playfully told her to and kissed her . It was a night we will both remember for a long time .
