a ) Concept of homeostasis

Homeostasis is a process that maintains the internal environment , which refers to the surrounding environment that surrounds body tissues and organs . These environments are easily affected by and chemical factors . Examples of physical factors include body , blood pressure and osmotic . Examples of chemical factors include blood level , value of blood and salt content in body fluid .

These factors are normally kept at a balanced level , known as the value . Any variations from their set point values will trigger reaction to correct it . Homeostasis enables to live in habitats that have a wider range of environmental conditions .

Homeostatic control system begins when caused by change is detected by receptors . will send this input to the , where this input is and the appropriate information needed to correct the change is produced . This will be sent to effectors , where the corrective actions are taken place . The purpose of this is to the set point value of the factors that experienced change . These actions may be in the form of or positive feedbacks .
