All cities around the world , small or large , quiet or noisy , clean or polluted , have public
places . There are places where can enjoy time with or friends time like
parks , pools , and concert halls . Others are for business and commercial
purposes . For example , stores , markets and banks . When we need medicine , there are
public , medical centers and drug . Young people look for some fun time
at the movie , and ; mostly at night . There are also day care centers ,
schools and where people go to learn . No matter where you live , people
share public spaces almost every single day .
Open urban public spaces have been host to many political , social and activities throughout . From the early days of the agora in Greece where bustling trade occurred to the Place Royale in Paris where revolution took place , public space has been at the core of many cities' most important happenings . The core functions of space have the capacity to radically change with the passing of time . The squares and streets of cities have historically been closely tied to and commerce but worrying trends of serving business instead of community are emerging . Public space offers elements that embellish a city's character .
