We can identify four major skills when using a language to communicate : , , and . According to ( 1983 ) , these major skills can be classified according to the medium ( or visual ) and the activity of the speaker ( receptive or )
There are a number of important advantages in skills integration versus teaching skills in isolation :
1 . : It leads to continuity because activities are not performed in isolation , but rather in a closely related way .
