SCAFFOLDING LANGUAGE The classroom should be a safe learning environment where making mistakes is allowed & trying is encouraged. When possible, cultural links with countries of origin will be established. Ss’ progress towards achieving the aims will be discussed. If unsatisfactory, the process will be redesigned/modified. There should be a progression from LOTs to HOTs, with more HOTS than LOTS. High expectation and teacher/group involvement create more engagement and result in higher success.
