Holidays and now

Before I ( hear ) about the situation in Germany I ( spend ) my holidays in Spain . I ( stay ) on a farm far away from civilization . I ( have not ) any wifi and no reception , so I ( not know ) about everything that was going on . When I ( arrive ) at the airport in Brussels , I ( be ) confused : there ( be ) hardly any people at the airport .

On Sunday I ( get ) an email that ( tell ) me our songwriting workshop ( be ) cancelled . Before the virus ( break out ) we ( plan ) to do a songwriting workshop with a professional songwriter , who is called Paul O'Brian . If we ( know ) that this would happen , we probably would have done this workshop in October .

Moreover , before our language assistent Ben ( come ) to Hamburg , he ( live ) in New Zealand . His parents are very scared of the virus , so they ( ask ) him to come back home . Yesterday he ( travel ) back home .

Altough this is all a bit sad , I am so happy to hear all my students are healthy ! I am sure we will get an amazing new language assistant soon and that our songwriting workshop will take place in the future .
