Pointillism was an movement invented by French artist George in 1880 .
He was the founder of the Pointillism art . In this technique , small
dots are placed very close together to make the of the paintings . If you are very
close to the you only see small dots of colours , but if you move away to a
certain distance , the blur in your eyes and you can the complete images . The
Pointillist artists only used dots of red , blue , and white . When you see green , it is
because there are and yellow dots . Nowadays the screens of our and
mobile phones use bright dots of red , blue and yellow called pixels , just like
the paintings a long time ago !
The painting called A Sunday afternoon on the island of la Grande Jatte is the masterpiece
of Seurat . It is really , and he spent two years working on the painting to finish it . In
