Yes No 2 Before taking the oral temperature: Make sure that the patient did not eat or drink anything for at least 15 minutes. Yes No 3 Wipe the mercury glass with alcohol swab from bulb towards the tube (from clean to unclean). Yes No 4 Shake the thermometer with strong wrist movement until the mercury line down to 38℃.
