Passive voice I

Using the passive voice

Another way of making your texts more interesting is the use of the passive voice. In most cases you will need the simple present such as:

  • Claims about their 'greenness' are often made by the campanies to sell their products.
  • Some elements are presented in an eye-catching manner.
  • Misleading information is sometimes used to appear 'green'.
4

Relative pronouns I

Using relative pronouns

Relative pronouns are: who - that - which - whom - where

You can use them to connect to sentences.

  • This is misleading information which is used to please the costumer.
  • Some ingredients which are biodegradable help to make a product appear green.
  • Cartoonists who want to convince their audience need to exaggerate certain elements.
