an
organisation
that
was

group
of

peace

conflict
between
tribes

Samburu
area

This

Evelyn
Mung
described
the

they

knew
if
they
would
survive
the
night
or
be
killed
in
a
raid
.
Now
,
the
programme
has
changed
all
that
by
encouraging
friendships
between
children
of
two
tribes
and
engaging
them
in
joint
projects
.

example

in
one
such
project
,
a
heifer
,
or
young
cow
,
is
given
to
the
friends
to
take
care
of
together
.
In
this
rural
area
,
this
approach
is
a
huge
incentive
for
inter
-
ethnic
peace
where
,
until
now
,
no
one
cared
about
____________________

.
Now
,
the
parents
and
elders
have
learned
from
their
children
about
the
benefits
of
peace
,
and
by
changing
attitudes
,
this
programme
has
eradicated
tribal
conflict
.
