How to prevent elcovid 19?
Practice social distancing
If you are surrounded by other people, keep a distance of 6 feet when possible. Avoid hugs, shaking hands, large gatherings, and close quarters.
Why? The virus is believed to spread primarily from person to person. When someone coughs or sneezes, they spread small drops of fluid from their nose or mouth, which contain the virus. If you are very close, you can inhale those drops, including the coronavirus, if the person coughing has the disease.
Cover your face with a cloth in public
Cover your face with a cloth in public
Cover your mouth and nose with a face cloth around other people and in public, such as at the supermarket.
DO NOT wear a mask intended for a healthcare worker. Do not cover the face with a cloth for children under 2 years of age, people who have trouble breathing, or people who cannot remove the mask without help.
Why? You could spread COVID-19 to other people, even if you don't feel sick. The cloth face cloth is designed to protect other people in case you are infected.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
Why? Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to the eyes, nose, or mouth.
Covering yourself when coughing and sneezing
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash.
Why? The drops spread the virus. By maintaining good respiratory hygiene, you protect those around you from viruses such as colds, flu, and COVID-19.
Clean and disinfect “high touch” surfaces
Frequently clean AND sanitize daily contact surfaces, i.e. tables, doorknobs, light faucets, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
If surfaces are dirty, first clean them with detergent or soap and water, and then disinfect them. Most of the more common EPA-listed household disinfectants, diluted household bleach solutions, and alcohol solutions with at least 70% alcohol will do. See how to make a bleach solution if disinfectants are not available.
