1 . A computer will solve problems in exactly the way it is programmed to , without regard to efficiency , alternative solutions , possible shortcuts , or possible errors in the code . Computer programs that learn and adapt are part of the emerging field of artificial intelligence and learning .

2 . Four reasons why information systems are so important for business today includes :
- Capital Management
- Foundation of doing business

- Strategic opportunity and advantage

3 . Role of Knowledge Management Systems :
- Collects relevant knowledge and make it available wherever and whenever it is needed .
- Support business processes and decisions
- Also link the firm to external sources of knowledge
- Support processes for acquiring , storing , distributing , and applying knowledge .

4 . Some computers are designed to distribute their work across several CPUs in a configuration , a technique once employed only in large and powerful machines such as supercomputers , mainframe computers and servers . Multiprocessor and multi - core ( multiple CPUs on a single integrated circuit ) personal and laptop computers are now widely available , and are being increasingly used in lower - end markets as a result .
