What's the point of a book group when you're already studying literature , you might think , as did I , bit I was intrigued so I decided to follow it up . After the number on the advert and to the organizer , it was agreed that I'd go to the next meeting a few days later . It soon apparent that this was no ordinary book group : each member / along their choice of book for the following meeting and the one rule was that the choices be books that weren't on the literature course , so there were biographies , histories , travel books - you name it . It's turned out to be the most interesting club I've ever joined !
