Sentence Structure Learning Activity
The object of this game is to group the following sentences to the type of sentence they are. Start by clicking on a sentence and match all the sentences of that structure together. You must pick all the correct sentences in order to complete the group. The groups are: declarative, imperative, interrogative or exclamatory.
DECLARATIVE SENTENCE: A statement, always ends with a period.
IMPERATIVE SENTENCE: A command, makes a request or tells someone to do something, usually ends with a period but can end with an exclamation point.
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE: A question, always ends with a question mark.
EXCLAMATORY SENTENCE: A statement that shows surprise or strong feeling, always ends with an explanation point
