When I there , the sea was quite calm and there was a nice light wind . The conditions perfect for watersports and I wait to get out on the water . As I surfed along the waves , I watched the people , fishing from boats or jet - skiing over the clear blue sea . I was having a fantastic time in my last few hours on holiday ? but I was so busy watching everyone else that I concentrating on what I was . Suddenly a large wave caused by a jet - ski took me by surprise . I lost my balance , forward and hit my head hard on the board . I myself slipping into the water and everything went black . The next thing I knew , I was on the beach , coughing up water . The only reason I'm still here today is that someone on a jet - ski saw what happened and came and pulled me out of the water . I felt so grateful to my rescuer , and really to be alive .
