The present tense is the form of a verb that you use to talk about things that are happening right now or today. 

Ex. I study English. 

In the present tense, you add -s when you are talking about one person (he, she or it).

Ex.I study English in the morning.

We study English in the morning.

Emma studies English in the morning. 

Notice that study changes to STUDIES because Emma is only one person.

to be

The verb to be is also very important in the present tense. To be in Spanish is ser or estar. 

Remember:

- How is the simple present used? Ex. play and plays
- How do you use do and does? Ex. I do have pencils. She does not have pencils.
- How do you say if you are doing something? Ex. Jamil is playing.
