How can we a magnet ( make its lose its magnetic strength ) ?

Methods to demagnetise a magnet :
? Heating
? / Hammering
? Dropping

When a magnet is demagnetised , it will not be able to attract as many magnetic objects as before .

How can we make magnets ?

Some magnets exist in nature . ( Lodestones )

Some magnets can be made out of materials .

When a magnetic object is made into a magnet , we say that it has been .

Methods of making a magnet :
? Stroke Method
? Electrical Method

THE METHOD

Things needed :
? a magnet
? a magnetic object like an rod
? steel clips ( used to the magnetism of the rod )

Instructions :
1 ) Stroke the iron rod with one of the magnet
2 ) the stroking process at least times .
3 ) Make sure you keep using the same and in the direction .
4 ) Bring the iron rod near some steel clips . It will some steel clips if the iron rod has been magnetised .

How can I make a stronger magnet using the Stroke Method ?
? The the number of strokes , the stronger the magnet .

THE ELECTRICAL METHOD

Things needed :
? a magnetic object like an iron nail
? an electrical wire ( about 10cm long )
? one or two
? steel clips ( used to test the magnetism of the nail )

Instructions :
1 ) the electrical wire as many times as possible around the nail
2 ) Connect the ends of the to the battery / batteries .
3 ) Bring the iron nail near some steel clips . It will attract some steel clips if the iron nail has been magnetised .

How can the magnet be made stronger ?
? increasing the number of of wire around the nail
? the number of batteries used

A magnet made using the electrical method is called an . It is a magnet .

Once the nail is from the wire , it is no longer a magnet .
