'Given a list of earthquake occurrences over the past 100 years,' is refers to the condition while 'generate' refer to the behavior.

'Without references' clearly refers to conditions, 'write' refers to behavior and 'a 300-word essay' to the degree. 'The learner' does not, however, refer to a clear audience.
