Or are we intending to construct something mysterious, perhaps something akin to Arnold Bax’s ‘Tintagel’ or John Ireland’s, ‘The Darkened Valley’? Or something like the bare Welsh hills in blazing Indian red or burning yellow, as imagined by Graham Sutherland?
