LISTENING COMPREHENSION

Listening comprehension is the ability to understand, interpret and process information heard in a language. It involves not only identifying words and phrases, but also grasping the general meaning, specific details, speaker's intentions, emotional tone, and cultural nuances of the message.

This skill is essential in communication, as it allows listeners to respond appropriately in a conversation or follow instructions in various contexts, such as classes, meetings or everyday situations. Listening comprehension is developed through continuous exposure to the language in real or simulated situations, such as listening to recordings, participating in conversations or watching audiovisual programs.
