Exciting news! I’ve just started my own company importing high-quality furniture from India. The
products I’m importing are mainly tables and chairs for dining rooms, but I also import beds, wardrobes and desks.
The market for these products in our country is very strong. The furniture is top quality – people pay thousands of pounds for similar items made in this country. Because I’m importing it from India, it costs less than half the price, including the transport and other costs. That’s why I hope to make a really good profit in my first year of trading.
I’m using an Indian sourcing company called InterContinent. They find me the best possible
suppliers, guarantee on-time delivery for all shipments and also organise all of the shipping
arrangements from India. I really recommend them!
The shipping arrangements are good. They charge around £3,000 pounds for a 6-metre freight
container, and it takes just over two weeks to arrive here.
