MILLER : Well , back in May , the sheriff's the family and to of Mr . Card's Army Reserve unit . The family members told police that they would talk to him . Army Reserve leaders also sold - told police that they would him .

But we flash - forward to mid - September , deputies then even more concerning reports , including that he was to , quote , " shoot up " that Army Reserve facility . They to talk to Card at his home in rural Bowdoin , Maine , doing what they call a wellness . But , they were .
